In partnership with Strive Niagara, Rodman Hall Art Centre recently completed its first of three Community-Engaged Art Projects. Brock student and artist Amber Lee Williams co-created a painting with 12 young women in Strive Niagara’s Young Moms Program. The program allows young mothers to complete secondary school at the Lifelong Learning Centre in St. Catharines. The collaborative artistic process encouraged participants to see new perspectives, find beauty in chaos, let go of expectations and open up to possibilities — all experiences that every mother can appreciate. Rodman Hall Art Installation Assistant Lauren Regier installed the painting at the Strive Niagara daycare upon its completion. The project was funded by the Region of Niagara Investment in Culture Program.
